3. Tried Pulling the parts out until motherboard , video card and CPU are there.

4. NO Beeps at all

5. put the damm thing together agasin and still wont boot.

6. put in another video card SUCCESS its boots but bois screen it gets to an then wont detect the hdd so reset the computer then back to square one WONT BOOT.

7. 2 HDDs, video card ,CPU, cd drives, PSU are fine.

8. A Clue, try to start up the on of the cd drives . The Light on the cd drive is on all the time.

9. FFS Why it wont boot, had this little proble 1 month ago but i pulled it apart put it back together and it worked.

10. Highly Suspect , MOTHER BOARD IS GONE.

Can Someone suggest a possible solution. I would like to try a few things before i go buy a Few Parts.

The Motherboard ::: MSI KT2 COMBO (MS6764)
Any Known problems with this board.

Sorry I dindt see thsi earlier.. But when it stopped booting do you recall anything happening ? Power Surge? Anything odd when shutting down? Any clues would help as to finding out what really is the problem.. the fact that its working intermittently is hard to nail down.

Might try booting wiht just your Main HD plugged in and leave your slave and your CD drives unplugged.. to see if maybe the PSU fried somehow. Maybe it got hit and cant handle all your devices.. just a thought of course.

which processor are you running on that KT2?

Yeh I had a problem like your and for a reason completly unknown to me still after installing new RAM into an old PC system owned by a Thai lady. Afdter installing this new RAM the thing wouldn't boot up. And then after removing that new RAM it still didn't boot. I then took the old mem out and just stuck in the new one and it didnt boot again. !!! So then in desperation I stuck the old mem back in with the new mem...nothing! Removing the old mem again (leaving just the new mem...again) I turned on the system and by some freak force of unknown computing luck and magic it started workin. The old mem since then doesn't work in there, but does in my system.....go figure

It still blunders me to this day how it all happened.

So yes in conclusion, its always good to try re-arranging memory in times of desperation!

Later,
K-C

Yup.. re-seating all your cards and hardware is always a good first step.

Odd that you dindt get any beeps though.. of course stranger htings have happened.

I suggest you dont let Eric service your PC ever again. Sounds like he isnt quite sure what he is doing perhaps?

Glad you got it working though.
