ATX mini mobo, dose it fit.....

I was wondering would a mini-atx mobo work in a atx case, or do i need to get a mini-atx case for it to fit. The case i have now is realy cramped and i was planing on expanding on to my curent system. i am planing on eventaly replacing the mobo i have at a later time but i want to get some of the accsesories togather soon. I plan on going with a AMD 2.0+gighz package but have yet to get it togather and looks like it maybe a couple of months tell then.

Maybe.

It depends on the case. Many cases have different mounting points for the copper posts (that you screw the motherboard to) to conform to different form factors. You will need to make sure the case you get complies to your form factor.

well doc I got the case and it works great. all the mounting points where exactly where they needed to be and the mother board fits great, only on short problem the cables running to the floppy drive and cd drives where almost to short luckly I had some spares that where just long enough, even if i had to extend my audio out cable on my cdrom. never found any listing to say if my case would fit a mini, but it all worked out.

Most if not all mini-ATX motherboards can be fitted in any ATX housing, no problem . ATX housings are built that way.
