Identifying mobo?

i've just been given a old laptop with no paper work and wondered if there was any prog which could help me identify the motherboard that is in it cause i really dont want to try taking it apart. i've tried the manufactures but they've gone out of business so not much help there.

shows mobo name on mine.

try the enterprise edition...

not sure if it will make a difference though, but it works for me.

it works for me also, and is a very handy little program to have around.

Look here. Type in the device id thats on the motherboard. Every board made for sale in the US has one. It can be a pita with the generic boards, but it gives you a good starting point for googling it.

if it doesnt say on the laptop anywhere, you might be SOL. no logos or anything on it?
