wheres my front usb gone?

hi all,

Some of you from the old UTC forums may remember back when i upgraded my mobo/processor/mem, the question i have now is about the motherboards front USB support.

Since im a newbie at custom builds, and since my mobo isnt the best, infact its pretty crap, i wanted to ask for a bit of help locating the sockets where i plug in my front usb..

the motherboard info can be found here.. its a pdf file.
The motherboard is a Liteon NR110

http://www.liteontc.com.tw/pcbu/nr110.htm

the Specs say it has two rear USB ports and 2 internal.. I cant figure out from the manual where the internal ones are! :?

Ive just bought this cool product which relocates all your audio/video ports to the front of the pc

http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.p...70c9d499150d70

and bought a front USB expansion for the same product

http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.php?view=2852

Ive had the product put on hold untill i propperly locate the slots for the usb.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.:cheers

thanx guys

Usually there is an internal USB header that you connect the front ports to. I looks similar to the front panel header but is smaller. It should be 10 pins (5x2). I looked at the pdf for your mb and they don't mention it. That makes it very hard to connect anything to it because you'll need to know the pinout of it. MB manufacters that include crappy manuals should be shot .

Try contacting the mb company and see if they will give more info.

i checked the manual for your board and there is a _mention_ of the additional front panel usb connector but no information as to where it is. for this type of board, the usb connector should be located slightly above the lower left corner of the board as pictured on the manual. if you look at the third memory slot (the one closest to the bottom of the diagram) and then follow it all the way to the left, i see what may possibly be the additional usb connectors. if it's not labeled so, then you're board may not have it. you probably have a "lite" version of the board.

cheers!
