I have 98SE, XP, and Lycoris Linux. I mainly use 98SE because I am a gamer and even after hours of searching for fixes and updated drivers my hockey, football , and baseball run really jittery in Windows XP. I know that its the game developers who haven't updated the code enough but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Well I like both Windows XP and Linux...Red Hat or Lycoris. Windows XP I like because it is ever organizated and I havn't once had it crazy on me or had the blue screen of death appear. Linux I like because I think is ever different has a huge change againist Microsoft in the business world like servers. But has far as a desktop Windows in my opinion will be the main OS.

I have XP. when we first got it I hated it...nothing but problems. After downloading all the patches and updates I love it. Its perfect for people like me who spend alot of time on the computer but don't know what the heck it is doing half the time. I have found now that everything is up to date, that with XP I haven't messed any thing up in a long time. It does all of the coplicated work for me. It's hard to mess things up when your only choises are next or cancel. *L*

I use Windows XP Home, but also Linux Mandrake 8.2 (the poll didn't allow multiple options).

Linux has a bright future, and has many many good programs . And now more games are being released for Linux .

BTW, before XP I was using WinME and no problems at all. WinME is just Win98SE with the system recovery and support for WDM... There isn't much difference.

I have used all Windows OS from Windows 2.XX (yes version 2) to Windows XP . I have used OS/2 from 2.0 to WARP 3 (it was a good OS, but lacked of good software and support from other companies than IBM).

I tried mandrake 8.2 too.
But couldn't get much help on it.
Internet wouldn't work so if I had a Q, I ended up rebooting into XP look it up and printing the whole doc. (and still end up with nothing)

I can't help. I have dial up at home, and no problem. At work I have a NAT router, and no problems either. I guess that you have a DSL USB modem... You'll have to look for the drivers of your particular modem.
