Xp-Pro x64
Seeing it being sold now just about everywhere, I read somewhere (sorry i cant remember where, i hate it when i cant send the link where i read something) that its pretty much just a starter kit for devs to start using x64 programming, and that Longhorn is pretty much gonna totally replace it and be the norm of OSs(microsoft wise), but that could be quite some time yet, http://www.planetamd64.com/ seems to be doing a good job in gathering up all the new drivers and such for it. Just wondering if anyone round here has tried it out yet, and actually have seen much of a pc'ing experience, even just runnin 32bit apps.

Windows XP 64 bits will work on AMD64 or Intel CPU with 64 bits extensions (6XX, 8XX, 9XX if memory serves). Remember that Microsoft said they will only support a single specification of X86-64 bits extension?
The worst problem is that you need 64 bits drivers for everything: chipset, video card, network, anything. Chipset and video card aren't a problem, but if you have a scanner or tv-card or wireless network adapter you may not find a 64 bits driver .
