I know Office outlook lets you export and import all of your emails and contacts. Depending on which email program you use it should let you do the same.
I want to swap my email from one pc to another ... I can find where the dbx files are on win me but don't know where to put them on win xp ?

dunno too much about the dbx on XP but there should be some sort of application data sub-directory somewhere there. As far as the contacts, the easiest way i've found is to export them as .csv (comma separated values) and import-other-address book.

The import dbx file and dbx file recovery has prompted you a path of the Outlook Express files' storage. And now save the damaged dbx files in the safe folder, they can be useful.
