when red light on ..............

I have this prob with mums comp

The red light stays on what does it mean

No viruses, trojons checked

The reset light i think

XP home

you are probably referring to the 'HDD light' which indicates Hard Disk Drive activity.

either you are using the hard disk actively all the time, or a wire has come loose on the motherboard.

Looked in Task man remove suspect files

clean boot
