Unwanted double copy of mail being downloaded

I am getting double copies of mail when downloading off of my telnet account. Can this be fixed by changing a user setting? Or is it a problem with the server?

When you say telnet account.. do you telnet into your ISP to retrieve mail? Or are you using a shell account to access a PINE box?

Curiously enough.. depending on what program is downloading th mail you might have a "save mesages on server" option in your configuration settings checked. If that is what it is.. then that would explain why you are getting duplicates.
