i'd move them all to a different folder for a couple days, if you notice something going haywire, you need them.

if all is well, get rid of them

Ok, thanks for the help, cpu. I appreciate it. There's just one more thing...lol.

Now when I boot up, it takes me to a black screen asking if I want to boot "Windows XP Home Edition" (what I have in that new boot.ini file) or Windows (default). If I choose Windows (default) it does nothing and takes me back to the same screen, so I have to choose XP Home Edition. Why is that doing that now? Any way to make it stop and just boot the right one?

go back into the system control panel...etc i was talking about earlier, and make it look like this:
