Usb 2.0

Hey guys,

I don't know which category in hardware i should put this. But this is my problem. You see my stupid USB drive does not recognise any usb pnp devices such as pen drive or memory stick or external harddisk with the capacity up to 1Gb. Sometimes, i can open and see the content in it but i does not seems to let me read or write files onto it. I am using Win XP SP2. I even try installing patch from Microsoft website. What should i do now?

Are you sure it's a software issue? Try loading a Linux Live CD (Knoppix, Ubuntu, etc) and see how it recognises it. If there's no problem with Linux then:
a) Stay with Linux ;-)
b) Re-install Windows :-)

Cheers
