Computer not reconizing DIMM

berks PCTT Administrator Join Date: Mar 2003 Location: Las Vegas Posts: 3,735	Computer not reconizing DIMM So over the holiday i built a new system and i put in one DIMM of PC3200 and when i go into my computer to see what it says it only lists 512 MB does anyone know why? It is only one DIMM and I think i have the settings right in the BIOS but i am not to sure. ANy help would be great!

Actually it is one stick of memory

DDR 1GB 3200 LT

igalan PCTT Articles Join Date: Apr 2002 Location: Barcelona, SPAIN Posts: 1,032	Is the DIMM single sided or double sided? If it's double sided maybe the AMD64 processor you're running is unable to access both banks. Which processor are you using?
