RAM slots for ASUS A7N8X deluxe?

OK I had to replace my RAM because it kept giving me bluescreens no matter WHAT I tried in the BIOS...so now I have 2 512 sticks of samsung memory(1 gig total) PC 2700 (333 mhz) (I had micron) But I am wondering something, I looked in the manual, but I guess I didn't see it. Correct me if I am wrong but are the two BLUE COLORED RAM slots on the Asus A7N8X Deluxe board slots 2 and 3?? if so, then slot 2 should be the middle blue slot and 1 is the top blue slot?? If they are, then that would leave slot 1 as the darker colored one! (the one that is not blue)

Did I get the slots correct? I wanted to be sure to put them in the right slots and it helps to know exactly what order they are in! The guy at the store told me to use slots 2 and 3 so I guess that meant putting them in the two blue slots. If I got it right please let me know! Thanks!

Webe... Put your memory sticks in the 2 blue slots (slots 1 and 3)
As long as your memory sticks are the same (matched) this will then enable your mobo to function in DUAL CHANNEL mode, where the memory is accessed faster.
(adding a 3rd stick in the BLACK slot (slot 2) will just then add to your existing memory, but your mobo will still be in dual channel mode)

Putting your memory sticks in slots 1 and 2 (blue--the slot sitting by itself) and the Black slot (middle) and leaving slot 3 empty will force your mobo to work in SINGLE CHANNEL MODE.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks LP Dad! I knew about putting the ram in slots 2 and 3 or 1 and 3 OR 1,2 and 3 would give dual channel, I just wanted to know where the slots were located! You answered that and I appreciate it!
