Hi, A little introduction

Hi people, I would just like to introduce myself. I am Michael Davies and I have just came here from www.zeropaid.com (I have just said goodbye) I had just got over 300 posts there but it is no longer what it use to be, and I am looking for a fresh start so I decided to come here as I had been "Lurking" in the forums for a while.

Just one question, can I upload my own Avatar, I could not see how?, probably just not familar with the site.

Hi! Its nice to have you aboard here at PCTT. To answer your question about the avatar, you can get a custom avatar only after you have reached the 25 post plateu. So only 24 more times to go. After you reach the 300 post level, you can make your own custom title. However, we may actually lower this to discourage spam. Anyway, nice to meet you, and what are you studying at university?

I have not started studying yet, next term, I am going to be doing Biochemistry, specialising in genetics, I have already got an unconditional place.

Do you know of any thread where I could get some basic information on the latest Mac OS or maybe you or someone could post something here, I have only ever used Windows and I am interested in finding out more, cause saw some great screenshots and IPod mp3 player looks cool (although soon to be windows version I believe)

Interestingly enough we have nothing, or at least not alot on MAC systems.

Not very well! (lol) Just kidding. They are supposed to indicate the level of your activity. The more you post, the higher you levels go. But once you attain a new level, the three bars reset to 0 and u begin again. It doesn't really amke any difference, but it looks cool.

Quality posts are what counts here, not quantity. :wink3

popularity is a combo of your time as a user and your activity.
Experience, to reach the next level you must post a certain # of times. and Each time you post your experience goes up.

Thanks for the links, what is the compatibilty like for programs with Macs? Are most good programs supported?what about p2p programs? Thanks to everyone who said hi! I thought the bars under avatar where just for fun, I have seen similar,understand why my activity is so high now (I kinda guessed, just wanted to make sure)

Now could some tell me about the history of the site, the merge with unite the cows, I like to know these things and could not find them out for zeropaid that really bothered me.
