Windows XP to Mac OS X

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it was possble to convert a PC running Windows Xp to a Mac OS X. I hve just been introduced to Mac OS X and it looks so good. Also, I can get it cheaper with a Student discount.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

I don't think it's possible to run a mac os on a pentium/amd based system.
See here for mac os x requirements ~click~

But maybe a mac user can give you a 'final' answer.

No.

Mac OS X only runs on a PowerPC architecture, and lots of Apple hardware.

You can get some terrible emulations though.

Dang. I was just wondering the same thing. I'd like to try OS X or a variation on my PC.

ohw there is some sf project that does a complete emulation of a PowerPC on windows I think. You can run OSX in the emulation. Have a look for it.

thx allier, I meant that one.

really scares the hell out of me. It probably is 500 times slower than the CPU and it must have took ages to get it right there. If not I will just crash myself.
