Congrats on your build project there Berksie

From I can see, it looks like you're going with a 2-car garage there?

Also, are you gonna have a basement or are they not used out there?

Looks good, a big house in deed

It's always shocking for me to see houses built with wood and nails, in Spain we only use brick, cement and concrete! 8)

igalan, thats interesting, and something I had never considered the possibility of looking strange to others. Different building styles, and materials used in other countries could make for some interesting research. We have many homes in my local area built in the early1800s, made entirely of wood, and are very sturdy.

I know they are sturdy . I've lived for some time in USA in a wooden house (as all of them), and I didn't feel it was different to any other house I've lived in. It's just different here in Spain . Still I wonder if in places like south Florida, where hurricanes are not uncommon, if brick would be a better choice.

Man tha is fast! Another advantage, building a house that big with bricks takes at least a full year!

What kind of veneer will it have? Stucco, hardiplank, or brick?
