Just received a notice from my isp, they start upgrading the up/down speeds.
Current speed: 2240/416 kbit/s New speed: 3200/768 kbit/s (down/upload) Funny thing is, i have this isp for 14 months now, started with 756 download/178upload, after several upgrades (speed) i'm on 3mb, still paying the same amount/month as when i started....

here. w00t!Congratulations Wob. That's sounds like my speed . j/kMy ISP is slowly but constantly upgrading the speed. From 33.6 kbps a year ago it's now 128kbps for less money now. Enough for almost a browse, research, email person like me. When I need download it's fast enough (so far) |

I gots 26 kilobits per second. That's nearly TWICE the speed of a 14.4k connection. 20 years ago, this connection would have been sweet!

My ISP Tiscali ( boo!) is upgrading exisiting members. Im on 512k/256 and they are upgrading me to 1mb/256 for free. Its all good apart from their non-existant customer service.

i think the only reason they upgrade most of the time is because so many people end up on the lines that it actually slows down your speed so much they need to show you an increase to make you feel better.

What I need the most is not more bandwidth, it's lower latency. I like on-line games, but pings are killing me!
