Which media player is better
ok i was in school today and my mate had his laptop in and he was playing music, i went over to check his playlist and i saw that he had windows media player.
i siad to him have you not tried out winamp it is far better than WMP but he strongly dissagrees with me which media player do you think is better and why ? WINAMP or WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER |

Winamp Hands down. Sorry but when it comes to programs that run well behind a game.. winamp is the way to go. Does not use hardly any system resources.. and it never causes any problem for any game I am playing.

I never liked Winamp's sound quality. Windows Media Player sounds better when correctly configured (and with good speakers, good song quality, and great sound card) but it takes so much RAM to run. As Cirga said - to run behind games Winamp could be better. I say could because again I never liked it and for day to day use my choide has been QCD Player. It takes less memory and sounds great.
 of course there's always XMMS  Cheers

True about sound quality. I guess to me it doenst really matter since I run it often while I am playing a game.. so the sound is a bit drowned out. On the other hand.. you can get alot of 3rd party plugins for winamp to really bring out great sound quality too. Guess it just matters what you really use your PC for.
