I'll acknowledge your individuality (in your handle choice) and assume you will acknowledge my personal comments are also of my individuality. "I could call ya Dick or Head...but the combination references a catagory tht I naturally steer away from." I suppose if someone found 'laffter or even lady' offensive, I'd respect their right to steer clear of me too.

That aside, I'll reserve getting to know you by your posts content. Deal? BTW, fyi: All perspective DJs are expected/asked to become familiar with the community. It's a 'get to know each other' request and not for singling you out. Proportionately, PCTT Radio is a component of PCTT Community.

Hey, maybe your nick is just too offensive. That might be the reason why people react so weird.

Maybe it's a good thing to register another (more carefully chosen) nick, or let me change your current one.

We love people who like to be a DJ, but allow us to get a little bit acquainted with you first.

Ya seemed friendly enough to me dude, just a bit pushy online the other day, kick the shoes off sit back and hang around for a while when we all get to know you things'll change for the better hopefully. Nice line by the way "ask around people know me" That could be said of a lot of people referred to under that heading. lol

Welcome to the herd Mr. Head. I might be up for DJing pretty soon. I applied once, and even had a test stream running, but there were conflicts over the "Live DJ" issue. I have the time now to do a live instead of pre-recorded show, but let me get my stream up and running again, so I can work out any bugs that might, and usually do, occur.

anyhoo, havent had time to post lately, but ill get on it. running my stream 24-7, always trying to keep that going.

oh one thing tho- ill respect those who wish to disassociate with me, but i'm not changing my nick (on irc, at least). if it's that big of a problem have someone remove me, and i'll just be on my way. my DJ name, however, is DJ Bandit-- if greff feels he wants to change it, fine. hmm, imma go post in some other areas

I personally, wouldn't get too upset that you're being met with negative reactions to your handle. After all, you chose it so you really can't be too upset at other's reactions. Am I a right? It is just not commonplace to use the word dickhead in a positive light so it's not anyone’s fault that folks are on guard b/c of the connotations of you nick/handle by you own.

However, I think people are more than willing to give you a chance if you're cool and you are willing to contribute, which you say you are. Most people just post for awhile on the forums and then somehow get recruited to be a DJ by other members and or DJs or get wind of the radio and try out for it after having been around a while. So please don’t think anyone is being mean to you or not accepting if they are suggesting things to you. Esp. since you have relatively few posts in other threads here. No one has anything against you personally at all. We don't know you well yet so we cant possibly have anything against you, right? Right.

We are all down to earth and are not an inclusive group so, your presence is very welcome. That notwithstanding, I personally do think you should change your nick if you are to represent our community in any fashion, esp. on the radio. However, if you have grouped nicks on IRC that’s very cool I'm sure your nick will come to be a term of endearment if you feel adamant about hanging onto it, which you seem to be. I find that there is more than enough room for personal expression here and on the radio if you keep in mind that you represent us all at PCTT when you're a DJ. However, may I ask of you....please don't meet other's standoffishness with regard to your nick as close-mindedness. You just need to realize that you're wielding a lot of power w. that nick and it appears to be telling everyone about your best quality and that reputation will precede you whether you like it or not . I'm not trying to flame you or be mean just telling it off the cuff. Just like Ldy i'm a fire sign so you're gonna get the truth here.
