No I have never used it but I was wanting to try it out. I know they had a free download at one time but can not find it now. As soon as I can find it I will be trying it out for myself. If you get this please let us know how you like it.

It holds 16th place in Distrowatch's chart for most used distros. So it must be worth something. It's what was called Lindows before

A quote from www.distrowatch.com

Quote:
Linspire is easy to experience with its colorful, friendly interface. With its simple 10-minute installation, even computer novices can enjoy this modern, next-generation operating system with just a few simple clicks of their mouse. All copies of Linspire come pre-installed with Click-N-Run Technology, which makes it one-click easy to add new software to your computer or to upgrade your operating system and any installed applications.

Found a download link for a free linspire download, go here, scroll down to 'Linspire For The Masses!' and follow the steps.
Think it runs till 26 September 2004.

I would recommend staying away from Linspire. It may be highly rated for downloads but as for overall integrity and usefullness as a Linux operating system it is lacking. If you are looking at newbie disto. check out Mandrake Linux.

Linspire has copied windows a bit too much, it even inherited the big security flaw of windows: more or less requiring the user to be an administrator, and also giving the user administrator rights almost by default.
