ms linux~merged thread

hey all, i just found out on http://www.mslinux.org/ that they are releasing another operating system, but it is built on the linux side. it is supposed to have the ease as windows, but act like linux. it is going to be user friendly like windows. and it is coming out in november of 2003

Linux users like linux because it is not user friendly... it assumes they know how to do stuff with computers.

There's no such thing as hippodile (hippopotamus and a crocodile mixed). It's either or Microsoft Windoze or Linux. Couldn't be in the middle. These are two completely different OSes.

Still here is to wishful thinking.

I wouldnt mind having the ease of windows on a linux platform.

Think of how simple it would be to sell off linux servers then to people who werent exactlycomputer wizards.

I know it will never happen.. but still hopeful thinking

It takes someone with knowledge to maintain a server, no matter how many times he or she has to look at it. The biggest problem of windows is that it is 'managed' by people who think they understand what they are clicking on.

This is also the reason why Linux and M$ Windows will never unite. The NT kernel nowadays is that good that it can run for a month without problems, so if you reboot every month to do a dozen of updates, you get a quite stable system. The trick is that you need to know that...
