Ghost c drive to a new HDD
Hi Guys,
c drive is a system partition on old HDD while I am trying to clone it to a partition with larger size on a new HDD. I am using ghost 8.2. After i finish 'partiton' to 'partion' transfer my pc refused to start from the new HDD with imaged partition. I know it might because missing some MBR thing but is there anyway i can add such info ? i have tried: 1. format c with /s, failed 2.fdisk, failed 3. xcopy, failed 4. install win xp to new HDD and then use ghost to clone, failed any idea, thanks? |

Boot using your xp cd and use the recovery console, once there use the fixmbr command to re-write it. Also try the fixboot command too.
It's worth a try tho i must admit ive never had the recovery console work for me!
