Which computer system OS is the best?
In my opionion about this question, i believe that Linux is the best and will have a better future compared to any other computer OS's. The reason i say this is because they are more based with making Operationg systems to fit people's need and are less money-efficent, they also send you a weekyl patch to fix any problems that they know are in their system. Compared to Windows, Linux is GOD

Linux is GOD, but just for now most people are stck with the Devil.
Now seriously-- Linux is great. I've tried several distributions but never for a long time because I like to test the OS and it often crashes. But Linux is the future man you're right. |

BTW which is the best distro to you-- this is a personal question to everyone, but let's see what you guys think? My choice splits between RedHat and SuSe but maybe SuSe is better:confused:   |

Most serious game servers run on Linux.
A few more years and linux will really be a force, unless MS somehow undermines it. The recent trend to make linux Gui more Windows friendly like will certainly be a boon to linux.

Linux Mandrake.
![]() Love it.. run it on a PC and its the easiest distribution i have ever installed.. Red Hat always hates my generic Hardware ![]() And .. linux is the "Only" way to run a good game server.. windows boxes crash too much.. and cant manage memory as efficiently.

I agree with Cigra and technobeast, i have run both Redhat and Mandrake. But Mandrake is basically easier for ppl to use who dont really know they're way around Linux, and Red Hat was a challenge for me because i didnt know the root commands and so on, so i like challenges so i pick Red Hat. i haven't had the chance yet to use SuSe, but i will get around to it one of these days. Sooner or later, computer companies will realize that Linux is superior to windoze(because it's so boring) and start pre-installing it on their computers, but that might take a while since all companies evolve around money, and Window$ is dominating right now............The Future is linux, because in my opinon everyone likes a challenge, and a OS THAT DOES NOT CRASH!!!!!!!LpDad is the right too, the games are killer

Linux is a good /wicked OS, but the mainstream of PC users will never be savvy enough to be able to use it. I know a bloke who lots of ppl I know think is the local PC don and he was telling me about when he tried "That Linux thing" said "didnt work proper its not like windows", where as the first time I used 3x, I said what good is this you cant do anything but run stuff that others have made ??? whats the point.
where are the line numbers. But of the M$ stuff 2k is the rulin' OS, XP is just a full spy ware install and you will never catch me using it. and what about Slackware ??? S!

I have heard the "I tried the linux thing" too before.. quite a few times.
Thats why I suggest Mandrake.. its simple to install and the installation is all GUI. AFter your done.. its simple to hop in and load up. Its probably teh most user friendly version of linux I have found yet.. Red Hat is a challenge.
