IE6 help!!!

well it was working fine acouple days ago untill my cousin used my comp. the problem is that when i right click links and click on open in new window it opens a new window but the page never loads..i have to push esc to stop it then hit refresh. same thing when i click on links that open there own windows and i can't even download stuff from the windows update page...the download screen shows up but nothing downloads

My first suggestion here would be to restore the default settings of your browser, along with clearing all the history, temp files and cache stores. For the default restore click on tools, internet options, then the advanced tab. You should see the "Restore Defaults" option there.

My only other suggestion might be to reinstall IE6 if the above doesn't work for you

Yeah, it maybe just a setting in IE that is causing the problem,....

well the new windows thing is fixed but i still can't dowload the stuff from windows update. just pops up and says downloading components but it never advances
