Any1 purchase a system from Over Clocking?

G'day M8s,

Am considering a new system, most likely bare bones, so I can put the devices of choice in, and was wondering if anyone has purchased from Over Clocking and would be willing to render an opinion on their products and service?

Thx

cheers

I am running:

Asus- p4b 533
cpu - Intel Pentium 4, 1716MHz
mem - 256MB DDR PC333

On a 20gig hd with Win2k.

Ram makes a difference, if you are worried about your pc performance. They come in different frequencies.......The frequency to best get would be one that works well with the MOB you get........This will optimise the use , not waste your hardware and spend more that what you need.......

You have to choose your Chipset and you cpu........Choose Intel over the SiS chipset on whatever motherboard you get.......

Then Choose you cpu (p4 recommended). This depends on what you will you use the computer for........games etc........ From there, you choose your ram and how much you need based on the primary function of your PC.........games/wordprocessing/art..........

Thirdly, choose your powersupply. If you will only run one cd and a burner or dvd player etc.... (Equaling 2 cd-drives), you will need a 350W powersupply.........If you are going to run more than that, get the 400W...........If price is your concern, don't go cheapo on the powersupply..........spend the extra to get a solid one!

Finally, get the extras....floppy/cd drive/hard drive/mouse-keyboard/case/gfx-sound cards..........

(If case temp concerns you, fork out the bucks and get a Lian-Li)

I hope this helps abit.........

LPDad is on a distinguished road
Course, We AMD Lovers have to chime in: you DO have an alternative to Intel!!

AMD processor + abit motherboard = Very Easy Overclocking via the softmenu. There are even places you can buy Pre-unlocked AthlonXP processors.

Without an unlocked processor you can still increase the FSB using the bios menu.

Just speed up that bus!!!!!!

(That is how I overclock my GFX Card)........

Intel = applications

AMD = games

Could that be a true statement LPDad?
