Battlefield 1942

Who here plays or plans on playing this game? I am going to purchase it on friday.. I have been playing the demo.. and have to say this game seriously is amazing.

The fact that any vehicle whether it be : Jeep, Armored truck, tank, Airplane, Battleship, submarine etc can be driven by any player is absoulutely killer.

I'd like to hook up with some people and play on some servers... anyone interested?

I can't wait to play this game! (my wife says no new purchases for awhile...pc related anyway)

I actually played the MOH AA demo.. was a lot of fun! But unforuntaely I'll have to hold off on buying that one.. till my next paycheck

I had been planning to buy the game for ages, i had the demo from the gamer discs, etc, read all the hype blah blah. I bought it 2nd day it was out. and it didnt work. nada. nuthin. bug*er all. Levels would load and then when the game started, it crashed instantaniously. So i took it back. end of story.

I have benn playing it ocassionally. Pretty good. You can't however drive any vehicle. Allies cant drive the ships(battle or cruiser). It is still a good game but there are still some bugs to work out.

Looks like its going to be good. Had problems playing the video clip in opera though?:confused:

Im checking to see if its a possible plugin issue between quicktime and Opera.

i like this game...runs like crap on my pc, tho (ive got TNT2 Video card with 320meg of RAM)

Ya.. you really need a GeForce 4 to get the game to run great.. otherwise it takes a lot of tweaking.

As for bugs.. there is a patch out that fixes a lot of things.. I have yet to have any problem with it.. and have been playing on the Nvidia Nforce serveres a lot.

I finally broke down and downloaded the demo...........

I have yet to install it............It should be fun, nonetheless...!

The new patch 1.2 has really improved the multiplayer speed as well.. the 1.2 servers run awesome compared to the first version.

Keeps impressing me.
