Need Help Please
Hello all i recently downloaded a new game called Americans Army and when i play this game a little error message near the clock pops up and says "Virtual Low Memory" I was wondering if i needed more ram or a new graphics card.
I currently am using Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X and i have Pentium 4 CPU 2.66HZ, 2.67Ghz, 256MB of Ram. Or is there some way to get more memory or anway to fix this problem, or any programs i dont need running while i play. I play Counter Strike with no problem and i have a steady 60 FPS. With this game my Ping is fine, my fps is actaully between 40-70 it jumps around but when i see the enemy in the game it lags like hell. Any suggestions? Please post back. Thank You -Joe- |

does this happen every time you play the game or just after your system has been running for a long time?
I know i sometimes has this problem and when i reboot it works fine. I know th evirtual memory has something to do with the amount of hard drive space you have and how windos utilizes it. Here is a good link that talks all about virtual memory. |

there is a setting that you can have more virtual memory. If you don't know where this setting is just hit F1 and do a search on virtual memory and it will walk you through the steps to do this. If I knew O/S you were on I could tell you how to do this.

It happens everytime i play this game. I just downloaded it yesterday i was thinking of getting a Nvidia Geforce 4 5200 off of my friend and maybe that will work or i could "take" a ram chip out of some PC at my work. I will look at that website and do more research on Low virtual memory but Thanks for the help everyone if you have any more suggestions let me know.
