got my UT2004...te hehe

*evil laugh*

People a few hours ago I bought myself UT2004, and posting now since Ive been playing for hours! This game is worth EVERY FRACKING PENNY!! This is the absolute successor to UT2k3.

If anyone has played the demo, little has changed but youll notice them. The game is extremely polished. Gameplay with vehicles, vehicles in Assault and Onslaught mode, is nothing more than a work of art.

Get this damn game!

Ive played demo. I personally thought 2k3 wos a load of balls. The graphics were all shiny and pretty... I just took it back to the store, was not gonna frag people in mirror land.

Anyway UT2004 is a vast improvement so you should see me around within the next couple of weeks (cash crisis) because they have brought back some of the darker scenery of the original UT! I do miss running round with dual enforcers though

Btw how many of you have played the original Unreal? Ive been suprised to find only a few others

Frag you later,
K-C

First Unreal game I ever had was the first UT when it was new. Second Unreal was Unreal Gold. Lost the cd so downloaded it. Friend got me 2k3.

Last Thursday, same bud, with me and couple of dudes went around NY looking for the dvd-edition for 2k4. I just grabbed 2k4 6-cd as soon as i found one. The other guys got their dvd edition.

Well... I am hesitent.. after being burned by UT2003.. that game was ass.. literally.

So I dont know if I can shake down my pride and disgust for the developers who created that.. and now 2004.. we'll see. hehe

Well man its worth it. I loved every unreal and I did dislike how much effort it took just to make on kill. In UT1 it was simple or creative. UT2004 is worth it man. Better bots, online crap, vehicles.

Hell Im trying to make a mod myself. Few guns with reloading, some custom vehicles, etc.

you should really try 2004... i thought 2003 was a bit pants too but 2004 really blows it outta the water.. the playability is vastly improved, and even cranking the graphics down to level zero, it stays pretty enough. The playability is by far the best so far.. the option is now there in multiplayer mode to turn on oldschool UT physics. neato..lol..

the weapons are also excellent, the old sniper rifle is back too

double neato!

go get..

Damn i thouht this thread died long ago. So far i took a break from constant ut2004 Invasion mode to do some doom online. but ive been working on modding it. right now my plan is to make a doom weapon pack into ut. dont know any modelers, or if i can convert md2 models from the jdoom engine.

but right now im working on making a stand alone weapon, no extensions. i managed to make an AVRiL wihout the tracking abilty. im going to take out the crosshair change code, speed up the rocket, give it 25% faster reload, and ill see what happens.

excessive invasion ut2k4 on linux here
it runs well on linux. i only had to get better video drivers and do some X tweaking. Only problem ive experianced is that when you close ut2k4, X restarts. Also i cant used the builtin mp3 player. I runs faster tho.
