Ahh the mod chips.. Yup apparently they do work. If you wanted to speak to someone.. snag SmaSH in IRC sometime. He know all about doing this.

hey berks I just got your e-mail. that's a different smash, but I still know what I'm talking about.
![]() the PS2 mod chips are a real hassle to install. there's like 20 leads that are really spread out and VERY tiny. I've destroyed a PS2 doing it, and I would NOT recommend doing it yourself. it's worth it to have it installed by sum1 who knows what they're doing, or to buy a pre-modded PS2. I personally would go with the plug-and-play no solder mod chips they have now-a-days. they're only like $20 and you can put them in without breaking anything. you have to put in a special disc and THEN swap in your burned copy, but I'd rather not break my system. buy everything here: http://www.mod-chip.com/ - smash |
