PC GAmepads.. Rant!
Ok.. Finding a good gamepad for the PC is like trying to find a pair of 36 length pants in any retail shopping store. They dont exist.. I had an older gamepad I tried using on my PC recently which worked so good before.. I plugged it in.. and next thingI know two of the buttons stopped working and the game camera while playing woudlnt stop spinning until I turned off the gamepad in the control options.
So I went out and looked at ebworld.com.. and read some reviews on gamepads they carry.. and it seemed like every review had 20 bad comments.. such as "The Dpad just fell off after a week" .. or other such crappy things. How can they make such good paddles for consoles that you can literally throw into a wall repeatedly and they still work great.. but they cant make one for PC like that? I finally got the nyko airflo gamepad from best buy.. took it home.. it worked great for about 5 hours.. and then the next day it woudl not respond in the game anymore.. gah.. I took it back to exhange it and of course they were out of stock "again"... so I have to wait till saturday to get a new one. Damn the PC gamepad industry!

Cirga I know what you are going through. I bought a Saitek 2500 rumble pad the other day. It works great..... But when you reboot the Pc you have to load all of the drivers again. If you can get over that it is a great gamepad. I have called for tech support on this issue and they tell me that it is imposible they have never heard of this problem that it is the USB port. I have 5 Pc's at home and it does it on all of them both with a USB expander and without it.

Well the nice thing about the nyko gamepad.. is there is no install disk.. it works great with just the windows drivers. So thats a bonus.. no need to reinstall it.. you just plug it in and start playing.
But the fact taht mine broke after 5 hours.. blah. Gabe also has a nyko and his is working fine after a few weeks. Just my bad luck or something... I liked teh nyko becuase it has a fan built inside of it so you can cool your hands off and you wont sweat while playing. Talk about luxury. Just wish I could get a reliable one.. lol
