Doom 3!?

Hey guys, I just saw a preview for Doom 3. It's actually about 8 months old now so I am guessing that it would be out fairly soon. It is designed for the Geforce3 and I have to say the graphics on that game are amazing. It's nothing like what I have seen before. The noses, ears, hair, it all looks real, it's almost unbelieveable. Anyways, just thought I would spread the news. :p

hehe, I know watcha mean man. :smilewink Once that games comes out I can be happy once again. No more depression for me. Doom 1 and 2 were good, I still play them from time to time even with the Voodoo1 type graphics. LOL, but I love 'em!!

ANYone know if there is a release date yet for DOOM 3 -- this is one game I am waiting for to be released-- DOOM 1 & 2 were good addictive games

Tell me about it. I still play Doom 2 sometimes. Graphics aren't that great but I saw the graphics for Doom3, and I hope you got a serious gaming computer, because this game is gonna seriously test it's worth out. Looks like I just might need a Geforce4 soon. ;-)

so any word yet on when Doom 3 is gonna be released? I've tried looking around but haven't found anything yet.

I would expect Unreal Tourn.2 and the new DooM to be out in a month or two. They will both run on a GeForce3, but have been programmed to take advantage of the GeForce4's programmable-shader effects. It will definately look sweet on the GeForce4, but I wouldn't invest in one now since its not that much of a difference from the GeForce3 and Nvidia has already said that their next generation of cards will be released this fall ..... and NO, there won't be a GeForce5.

Once again, I have been corrected!!!

I should have researched before opening my fat trap. I did a rather lengthy search and most are expecting it to be released sometime in September, but others say it will be as soon as June. I would expect it to be released by November in time for the Christmas rush. It should be available for a few different platforms including the PC and xbox.
