Atmospheric games?

Can you recommend me the greatests atmospheric games you remember?
I mean those that REALLY capture you and have a good argument.
For example ;UNDYING, SHADOWMAN (played that all day, even in dreams!!! really). KISS P.C., ALIEN VS PREDATOR, BLADE OF DARKNESS, SERIOUS SAM (When you see that endless CROWD of monster coming at you in those egyptians opens, uff!!), etc.
Cant found one nowadays that can make me feel you´re INTO the game-world.
(Im not stupid, i know they are only games, HEHEHE).
So what are your choices?

There is a two series title game.. No one lives forever. The game is a take off of a James Bond theme type game.. and has comedy sequences throughout the entire game.. and just like any spy game.. the whole point is to not be seen.. but with the vast range of weapons and the atmosphere.. and the satire used during the gameplay.. I could not get away from my PC when I played this game.

I still have it on my hard drive.. and I play it through all the way at least once every 3 months.. because there is always something I missed along the way

Ah NOLF....very well made game. For you it will be atmospheric. The AI can let you go balls to the walls or sneak around like a ghost. For me that made it involving since u can be sneaky.

Speaking of stealth Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age are very atmospheric...dark and in medival times. The games are about stealth and they really duct tape ure eyeballs to the screen.

Look for any shooter besides these three here that can let you be in stealth. Desperately trying not to get caught and the giddy feeling of sneaking around really makes a game good. Or maybe its just me

From what I have seen (and I have played the leaked demo), DoomIII will be Very Very Creepy/Scary. Talk about atmosphere!!

Late at night, Lights off, Headphones jacked up..Sweat dripping down your forehead...

If you have not played the leaked demo, then you might not believe me...it IS fear itself.

I forgot one game with lots of scary atmosphere....SYSTEM SHOCK 2

The character sounds, level design and thief engine made that game creepy as hell. Dark room with headphones or cranked up volume and thats it u crapped ure pants after the first encounter.

Doom 3 with be the same since its both horror survival and futuristic
