AMP 2 game engine
Not sure how many are interested, but there's a new game engine out called AMP 2 . The developers have released a "Tech Demo" a couple of months ago.
The developer is Slam Software/4d Rulers. It seems together they plan on licensing the engine, providing a low cost game engine for "mom & pop" developers, with training and support, as well a single user licenses.
You may have seen "Gore the Ultimate Soldier" in either the public betas or the retail version. The original AMP engine was coded for the game, but was in development for over 5 years, resulting in a less than spectacular release last summer.
This is the next level of the engine. Joel Huenink @ 4d Rulers has been hinting that he has something going on with Activision, as in a new title using this engine.
You can check it out here
If the link still works, it's a 30-ish MB file
It's ONLY a tech demo with one map/character and unfortunately only supports the GF 4 family of cards, for now. I had some issues getting it to run under DX9.

The netcode that they developed for this is rock-solid. It is probably the best I have ever played. In the beta(s), we would sometimes play on servers in EU with 250+ pings and get almost no lag.
At one time I had suggested that they sell their netcode to EA :p
