Star Wars Galaxies Release Date Final!

Star Wars galaxies is going to be released on June 26th. Yes next week woot! This game is awesome.. and if you have any trepedation.. lay it down.. because I can personally attest to its gameplay being top notch.

I am really going to be torn.. because I game with a huge gropu too.. and they are going to be on a server (unnamed at this time).. and then I know people here will be on one too.. hope by sheer luck its the same server

Well let me know what server you are on and I will jump on that server. I know that I will be playing and we will have to hook up there and explor this game to see what the live version is all about.

Looks like the crowd Ia m part of is going to be going to Starsider as soon as that server is up. Its a full roleplaying server.. and tahts why my group is heading there.. it wont be up at launch.. but should be within a few days after "supposedly".

I hope you all have your games because there is no more to be found down here where I am at. I went after I got off work yesterday to get it and no one seemed to have it in stock. as usuall everyone underestimates the release of a good game.

I got mine, but believe me, you would have been lucky to play for an hour yesterday.

They're working ont he unexpected slow of traffic and their servers will be back up this morning.

Well every game to date I think has had a rocky start. We will just hope it gets better fast. I will soon have a copy of the game they are reserving me a copy on there next shipment. So I will be able to join you all on the game. Thanks for the info cyberrico I dont feal so bad about not taking off of work to go get me a copy now.

Well I did take a half day off of work, and I feel like an idiot. What's funny is that Cirga even said the day before that he wouldn't take the day off for a video game. I laughed thinking how much he must love his job. After my experience yesterday, I wish I had sat in my air conditioned office and hammered the phone instead.

Instead, Kharma reared it's ugly head and I had a miserable day of trying to log in to that damn server. Once I got in (5 hours later) I was able to talk to a couple of people, go to the bank, make a weapon, accept a mission and watch all the realms go down.

I'm in executive level sales, so I can work a few hours in the morning and say I have appointments all day any time I want to. If my customers need me they can call my cell phone day or night (and they do). But that was the last time I take the day off (half day off) for the launch of a video game.

I know what you mean about that they always have some problems to work out because they dont think that many ppl will jump on from launch of the game. All I should have done is take off long enough to get the game. I was going to do this but my day got full once I got to work and never got around to it. Oh well thats life just have to wait a couple of days to get it no big deal here.

I actually had my shipment from EBworld get messed up.. they shipped it on the release day instead of the day before.. which means on 2day fedex I wouldnt have received it till monday. well I got mad.. and ended up drving over to the mall here where an EB store was.. a half hour after the shipment arrived (I called to find out when it would be) and took my lunch break to go get a copy.

they only had 4 copies of it.. I was lucky Then I called fedex and refused the shipment.. so they can refund me for that.. goodness what a mess.

and yes.. every game has had a rocky start.. but I expected a much better job than what happened yesterday..

I still remember the guy in chat last night who said something like... " Oh man.. I almost beat the login server boss.. just a few more login connection attempts and I should get som egood loot!"

I beat the server login boss on opening day twice. But I used a cheat code.

Now I'm getting my butt kicked by the server dropping boss. Man, that guy's unstoppable.

Regardless, I will probably have master in artisan, weapons and business in about a week.

Well all the ppl that I play on the game with chose Gorath to play this game on If any of you are on this server by chance drop me a line and I will go out of my way to help you out if you need it. or just go on a mission or just kill Luke Skywalker what ever is your taste.

What do you all think about the game so far? how is the good bad and the ugly on the game in your opinion?

I don't like only being able to have one char per server.The quest system still has some bugs in it but that will work itself out pretty soon I would think. other than that it is a very good game at least that is my opinion.

The server was great yesterday. I think I got dropped once, and I think it was my ISP. I got right back on and went back to building resource extractors.
