new game looks promising
I was looking for some new beta's to join and ran across this game though it is not in beta yet I will be waiting for this one to see how it is. It's a MMORPG I think it will rival EQ and SWG's. Let me know what you all think about this game it's called wish and you can find it at. http://www.mutablerealms.com/index.html

Well.. I am a bit skeptical of this game.. because of this comment:

I read through the FAQ.. and looked at the screenshots. Its a game I may actually try out to see how the gameplay works.. but I have to say.. the game does kind of remind me of EQ in a way.. the graphics in this game are better than EVerQuest I admit that.. but the gameplay sounds just like it.. races/ quests/ PVP in arenas... On a positive note.. Housing is awesome Taht is one thing that I really love in games.. and that is a good bonus to their game structure.==== Here comes my analyzer.. lol I know I have lots to say about MMORPG"s.. been playing lots of them and really have gripe about them. The "biggest" killer to any MMORPG In my opinion is the hack/slash leveling treadmill... where you have to kill X number of bad things to get enough experience to level up.. and you cant group with people unless you are X level because you would die in one hit etc... Star Wars Galaxies follows the lines of Ultima Online in the skill system.. which sets it on a seperate ladder for me. You have two ladders in MMORPG's. Levling Treadmill - Anarchy online, EverQuest, Asherons Call, Dark Ages of Camelot Skill tree games - Eve Online, Ultima Online, and Star wars galaxies. I prefer the skill tree games.. I like the idea that it doesnt matter what level I am.. if I have a good skill in X gun.. or X craft I am good.. and I can focus my character just on what I want to do.. and not have to deal with gaining levels just to get better at a skill. Whew.. ok

Yeah I do agree with you on most of that cirga. I do like the games like UO, but I also like EQ and DAOC. I will try anything once but I must say that AO was pretty bad. You also have to look at what has ben the top game of all time to this point level based games EQ.

Very true. EQ has always been on top.. I think the main reason for that is it was very stable on release.. and was the first really good 3D MMORPG out.. UO was 2D.. and a blast but EQ reqlly revolutionised the online games for roleplaying. I admit I played myself to death on EQ AO was horrible at release.. they jumped the gun and put out a game that was loaded with bugs and all kinds of horrible shoddy coding. But if you were to take a peek at AO again right now.. the game really is awesome compared to what it was like when released. I love the dark future too.. or futuristic sci-fi type games.. so AO always kinda had a jewel for me hidden there.. they just had to fix the game up.. which they did. But.. ya 2 more years and AO got boring for me too hehe.. I just like to move onto a new game and powerlevel like a madman too much.. The problem with many games now.. is they release them too fast.. with a load of bugs.. and every player who was excited about the game gets frustrated that its such horribly gameplay.. and then they trash it and move on. Most dont come back either. I just hope SWG doesnt make this mistake.. I think it has great potential.. but we'll see how smart the company is

Well I do know what you are saying I did trash the game and never gave it another look. I may have to see what they did with the game the quest system that they had looked promising. I played Uo for almost 4 years then played EQ for about 2 years. I have played DAOC from release and just cancled my account. I do have to say that DAOC got boring fast that was just a leveling treadmill. I dont think they will release SWG to fast they have already been pushing it back. It was suppose to release around the same time as Shadowbane. They have already made the statement that they will not release the game till it is ready to go. This company does have alot of experiance with these types of games so they are ahead of the other companies that are on there first game of this stature.

I sure hope they release it on a good vibe.. otherwise they will not only lose tons of playerbase from day one.. because of bugs.. but they will also ruin a bit of their rep.. as a quality company for games.. considering EQ has the same backing.
