For a true disc to disc copy you'll need a DVD+R Double Layer disc, these can store up to 9 GB.
Only problem with those, at least here in Europe, are the costs. One double layer disc will set you back €5, a single layer (normal dvd+) disc will cost you around €0.45.

(Got a NEC3500 dual layer burner myself, haven't burned a double layer disc yet)

Dual disks here in Canada, are about $2 more than single.

Here in Canada, a dual layer dvd is only 8.2 gb, not 9. if the manufactures were going to do true dual layer, the disks would be 9.4, because single layer discs are 4.7.

yeah, I would wait a while for burning on dual layer media... Its expensive, and even the latest burners only do it a slow ~2.4 X Speed.

I can't wait til a blue laser type burner comes out...this 4-8Gigs is just not cutting it for me.

the price isn't a big issue for me, I want quality. DVD shrink, haven't heard of it, I have clonedvd 2, dvd copy platinum (I hate the warning message, wish I could remove it), and a buddy of mine told me about a program called 1 click dvd, I'll have to try.
