jaba's new box

Well i finally got my pc put together. I was a little short on money so I had to cut a few corners, but for being my first attempt at building, i think it turned out great

Case: Antec SX1040BII SOHO File Server
Mobo: MSI K7N2 Delta-L
PSU: 400w Antec SmartPower
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800+
RAM: 512mb Kingston HyperX DDR3200 Dual Channel
HDD: 80gb Seagate Barracuda
Video: Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti200 (I hope to upgrade soon)
Sound: Sound Blaster Live! 5.1
Other stuff...
Lite-On 52x/32x/52x CD-RW Drive
Plain ol generic CD-ROM drive
Old floppy drive from my 486
And my good ol US Robotics 56k modem

I'll probably have some pics sometime later.

edit: got a ThermalRight slk-900a Heatsink and a Panasonic Panaflo 92mm high rpm fan to go with the cpu now

Rock on Jaba. You built the whole thing yourself right?

Thought you mentioned you built it all from the ground up. Kudos mate. Its a grand feeling when you accomplish that.

I finally got pics, only a few months late, heheh

I'd like to go further with modding, but right now, all i can afford is just the fancy fan heh.

92 mm cpu fan!! That's a big fan, should keep it cool during summer days.
Good looking pc, i guess the satisfaction of having it completely build yourself must be great, every time you switch it on.

Oh yeah, definitely does the job for cooling. A lot quieter than some of those tiny fans too. I still have yet to have a problem with this pc

Very nice Jaba. Great choice on a case too btw! Thats the same case I have my PC built in I love how roomy it is.. and hey no worries about modding.. now that everything is built you can pop in a cathode or two for 7 bucks a pop when time permits.. to really jazz things up

Its a good heatsink. So far, i havent gone above 42C, usually idling around the high 30's. Installation is really easy, just clips onto the lugs of the cpu socket on the mobo, the fan attachment is nice too. It uses little wire clips to hold the fan on, so its easy to take the fan of for cleaning etc.
