Hiya CrackerJacker
The easiest way I can think of is to take a screenshot (alt+printscr) of your desktop with winamp running, paste the clipboard image into Irfanview, then click and hold the left mouse button and drag it over the area that you'd like to use as your avatar. (note: if you look at the top of the app as you are doing this you will see the size of the area that you're selecting) After that, Choose edit-crop (crtl+y) then save it as a jpeg.
Hope this helps

note that there is a slight loss in quality when you save a picture.
it might be best to just use one of the original pictures in the zip.

Blury: I like png better. GIFs can be evil.

the only reason i used gif was for www.imagestation.com uploading quality. since imagestation doesn't use png, it converted it to gif and these funny dots appeared on my winamp pic. when i used gif, it looked much better...
