"Thirst"

Waiting and hoping
For you to beckon me,
I, in this lonely silence, that is my world.
I wish I could hold you,
tight and close to me
for all eternity.

Missing you is my vanishing …
living life without sustenance.
In your absence, I am void.
Without,
Hungry,
Lonesome,
Lacking.
Eternally thirsty.
Nothing but a clean,
sweet, slice of your quintessence,
only you can quench this
eternal thirst

If the day should come,
My creator graciously answers my heart’s prayer…
and indeed you come for me
your sinewy body moving towards me
in the soft focused light of dusk
I shall bathe in your countenance
At long last, quenching this,
my eternal Thirst.

I try to write a love song
But don't know what to write

Nuns run bald through Vatican halls, pregnant, pleadin' immaculate conception
And everybody's wrecked on Main Street from drinking unholy blood
Sticker smiles sweet as Gunner breathes deep, his ankles caked in mud
And I said, "Hey, gunner man, that's qucksand, that's quicksand, that ain't mud
Have you thrown your senses to the war, or did you lose them in the flood?"
