Those are some very nice pics.

I finially "obtained" a 9 cd set of Cds that hopefully will show me how to get the most out of PS.
While my inherent artistic ability is non-existant, I can at least have some fun playing around with pictures (I used to be a pretty fair photographer).
Just finished the first CD and already I have learned 900% more than I knew before....LOL

Hmm...what "kind" of cd's are we talking about here? Are they training based?

It is called Adobe Photoshop 7 - Total Training
9 CD package, basically starts you off and shows you what can be done, then shows you how to do it.

Like I said, I am only on CD2, got a long way to go.

Cool, I'll have to check it out. Of course I may have to actually install PS7 and look at it someday

Seriously though, If you've got any questions about how something is done, post them up and I'll try and answer 'em

LOL...ok I'll byte , If you don't have it (ps7) installed, what program do you use to get those amazing results??

Once I get the basics down (like how to cut/paste within a pic) I am sure I will have lots of questions. I usually won't ask though until I get really stuck and cannot figure something out.
(A unique method of learning I use..called "fill your pockets full of gold coins then jump into the deep end of the pool and tread water for 30 minutes"... when I manage it I am "rich", when I do not manage it I come up empty handed (no gold) but I feel like I have had one hell of a workout.)

M$ Paint

Seriously, I'm using PS6 right now
If I ever get enough free time, I'll write up a tutorial on how I did it. I can tell you that its done with 7 or 8 different layers, various blend modes, opacity settings, patterns and gradients
*don't worry, you'll learn about them soon enough

One other quick note: When you're experimenting with layers, save your work as a .psd file and it will retain the separate layer information. It only took me 3 yrs to figure that one out

PS7 is really nice although i really only know how to do some of the basics with it. When i have questions i usually ask my brother he is a graphic designer and that is all they use. So if anyone gets really stuck i could ask him.
