Need help with Asus A7N8X Deluxe

I have the Asus A7N8X Deluxe board and I want to control my CPU fan speed. I Enable the Q-Fan Control but I don't see any difference with my fan speed at all...? When I went to the "Hardware Monitor Tab" in the BIOS to enable and adjust my Q-Fan Control settings, I noticed that it doesn't show my CPU fan speed...? The thing is that I can see and it shows my CPU fan RPM in the "Asus PC Probe" software but not in the BIOS? Is this the cause to why I can't adjust the fan speed?

Does the BIOS report it as N/A?

It shows "0 RPM"... I have a chassis fan plugged into the board also but it doesn't show that either?
This is what the screen looks like...

hmmm, that doesn't really make things clear... I guess if the BIOS can't see it then it won't act on it either... :/

Yup i agree with Greff, if the bios is reporting it as 0 RPM the Q-fan wont pick it up either. Just check your cpu fan is connected to the correct pins on the board, if you hav a rehobus or fan controller the q-fan will not work as it must be connected on the motherboard

My CPU fan does not have a fan controller and the correct pins are connected to the motherboard. I am very confuse... why would the "Asus PC Probe" show me the fan speed but not in the BIOS...?

Q-Fan does not work well in this board if your fan spins slower than 4000 rpm. For instance if you have an 80mm CPU fan that spins at 2000rpm, with Q-Fan enabled it may not spin at all or too slow for the sensor to detect it, so be careful.

BTW, I'm no longer using this board, but I remember that to use Q-Fan you had to plug the CPU fan in another socket, not the one for CPU-Fan. I think this was documented.
