The perennial underdog is challenging Intel with a new class of microprocessors. For 35 years, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD ) stood in the shadow of archrival Intel Corp. (INTC ) AMD churned out lower-priced clones of the tech leader's chips and occasionally enjoyed a hit that helped boost its meager profits.

Yup it's AMD that rulez on the market now, but too bad some big software companies (Adobe) still support Intel only (I think it was Premiere Pro that was announced to refuse to run on AMD systems, correct me if I'm wrong)....
As for me - I've been and will always be an AMD lover. GO AMD |

lol, since AMD some sort of revived the old Alpha chip (that's where their speed comes from anyways) I kinda like them...

i aint ever used anything else since i had a 486DX2. And then i threw that away and got an Amiga. Now there's a comp' that should have done a lot better.
