CD Drive problem

I am running a Dell Diminsion 4400 on WinXP. My computer is a little over two years old I believe. I have currently been playing a game called Warcrat 3. When i insert the disk in teh drive it simply spins a moment...quits...then does nothing. Cd-burner program will not recognise a cd in the drive. Under my computer/devices with removable storage/CD-RW it doesn't show a disk is loaded if clicked it siply brings me to an empty folder. It has done this with a couple different cds now. Is it plain and simply worn out or is there a fix or patch for this problem?

Ouch. How old is that CD-RW drive? have you burned alot of CD's using it? Is it not recognizing "any" CD or just a few?

Do you have a CD drive cleaner CD?
