virus in sytem restore point!
hi everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anyone knows how to remove a virus in the system restore point.. or evern REMOVE the restore point alltogether.. os is XP obviously.. i treid to get into the restore poin folders "c:\system volume information" but it doesnt allow me access "access denied" and AVG reports the virus but refuses to find it when i run a VC...doh! so any help would be appreciated.

2 ways..you can run Housecall to delete it from the System Restore...or...you can turn System Restore off. This will delete all Restore Points, do a scan to make sure its gone, than turn System Restore back on.
Right click My Computer/Properties/System Restore....untick the box...when your done..re-tick it.
