Cool 80 gigs 'n' doin fine

It's all good; my OS is back on C. My other 4 partitions (X, Y, Z & F) are all healthy and doing well. (It was shaky there for a moment or two) I've never used FDISK before (scary).

Right now I'm using 'NTFS' instead of 'FAT32' for all of my partitions, I was wondering if this was wise or not? (Most folks say I should stick to FAT32...but I don't know why)
Thanks again for your support lads

Way ta go! Feels good dun it?

You should be good with NTFS. The main reasons to stick with FAT32 is if you are dual booting with Win9x, or you need DOS.

It doesn't sound like you are doing either of those things so NTFS should be just fine. I think all new computers with XP installed use NTFS by default.

Good morning folks, I have done a bit of research into this, and Ntfs can see a fat32 os, a friend is doing a how to article on it, and that is how I am doing my next install. I think Rasta can figure out who is doing the how to article.

Y a it is true, NTFS can use a fat32 partition but a fat32 OS like 98 can't read NTFS, so if u have anything u need to share between two OS's with one of them being formatted in fat32 and the other being NTFS you either need to save all the stuff u wanna share on the fat32 formatted partition or make a partition that you would use to share formatted in fat32. NTFS is faster and more secure and is always how I format any partition, but then again I don't use 95,98 which requires fat.
