Hi Zombie,
I hear Incredimail has 'view header' feature. That's always nice. Is there also a 'preview' option? Quite a time ago, I used Pegasus for it's 'view header' feature. At that time, Eudora also had an excellent reputation with users. I couldn't say who's the front runner in email apps today. Presently, I use Mail Washer to view headers, preview mail and filter out what I don't want to download. Let us know wht you think of Incredimail.

pocomail isn a nice program, but i found it a little buggy, sometimes the softwares filtering system would lose emails for no good reason, you also have to pay extra for scripting which gives features other clients have for free. It would be very nice if it were free, but its not (unless you happen to know a little chinaman in a long coat)
foxmail alot of people like this client, but personally i thought it sucked. Maybe it just didnt run well on XP but it gave me shitloads of error messages. The program is developed by a chinese guy and support in english is a bit second rate. I would give this one a miss. pegasus is a nice, free but fairly basic email client. personally i just didnt like the interface and found the whole thing a little featureless. the bat! is my favorite email client, it has a simple easy to navigate interface, is fast and unbloated and has has some powerful features, supports mulitple pop3 and IMAP accounts as well as PGP. This is shareware, unless you happen to know my friend Mr E. Mule |

Hi Spankmeister
Thanks for your input..had me curious enuff to look up Pegasus & Bat.. Surprised to hear your accessment of Pegasus as 'featureless'. I scratched my head and wondered, "Did they take out features??!" And "If/When" they support webmail, I'll give this FREE, stable, loaded and amongst the forerunning pioneers of email clients another go. Good there are choices out there for users to pick the one that individually suits 'em best! Glad you found the one for you Spankmeister

If you want to be able to do anything you can imagine with your mail, just try the bat!... http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/
its loaded with features... you can filter on any possible aspect, and do anything (start programs, send auto-generated emails etc, even running an full mailinglist including controlling on certain keywords etc etc). I like the feature to filter incoming mails based on the category in your adressbook the sender is in (is this good english? I wonder...) -> I mean, I have several folders in my account like friends and study, and in my adressbook I have similar (not the same) folders in which my contacts are listed. And the bat filters accordingly to these category's -> emails from fellow students are punt in the folder students etc - and this way it works automatically, if I add someone to my adressbook in the categorie friends, all his mails are punt in the mailmap friends! damn easy if you get loads of mail.... (and I dont delete mails, save them, I have thousands of mails in the several folders - but its easy to search them with powerfull searchoptions) I've used it for years, and it works under linux using wine. and the bat is the most important reason for me not to start using linux (althoug I hate m$ and winBlows) because I just cant find an email client soo good... and the option to use it with wine (tried it) well I dont like that... ![]() so if anyone knows an emailclient for linux wich can dream of being as featurerich as the bat!, tell me plz! grtz |

Ah Killa.. See wht happens whn ya turn ur back??! Don't be doing tht again, k? LOL
I used Eudora back before IE took over Netscape.. Outlook didn't even exist to me, but I favored Pegasus then 'cause you could assess just the headers. New toy for me is KlipFolio. Check it out : KlipFolio |

yup, Juno didn't have all the spam ads then, and spyware was not a commercial market. But, internet was charged by the hr and most connections were LD..folks ran up bills equivalent to 'em 900 #s! Earlier internet connections are not amongst where one wishes for the 'good ole days'!

Okay. I've took an intrest in three programs: The Bat!, Outlook Express, and Eudora. I tried The Bat! for a little bit today, and deleted it (personal prefs). However, I now cannot decide between Outlook Express and Eudora (I would get the pro version). I don't want all of Outlook's vulnerabilities and such. Both of the programs seem to be very similar. I need some good filtering rules and such to cut down my spam. I would also like a feature rich client that allows for above all, security and functionality. Any suggestions on either one?
