Taskbar not hiding inactive

Hi there every1

I have XP & seem 2 b having a prob with hiding inactive progs

Yes there is a tick in the box Notification area

I customize 2 progs to say active always but there is 9 progs that i see all the time THE < doesnt want to show up

plz help thanks

Try un-ticking the box apply than re-tick apply again ok..it works, don't ask me why. Also, if the program is doing something..like a Firewall, it will almost never hide.

I did manage to fix prob

Alt+ctrl+DEL WELCOME SCREEN for admin thats the only way it worked why beats me

It's great that you found a way to fix the problem cause Microsoft doesn't. I have had that problem before and they told me they didn't know how to fix it.
