Decisions Decisions. What PSU?

OK.. well figured I would get some input. I really dont know what PSU I want.

I know I want a 400W.. but I just saw a really nice one over at Xoxide on sale for 20 dollars.. link here.

I was looking at the output.. and on 12V the generic ones usually have only 15 or 16A. The one at xoxide for 20 dollars has 28A which is equivalent to an enermax.

I will be running a Barton XP2500 on an MSI KT4 mobo.. wich 512 megs of DDR2700 ram .. a DVD drive and CDRW drive.. with 2 hard drives and a Geforce4 TI4200..

I dont want to go too far over 100 for my case and PSU.. so I am out sharkin for a good price.

What does everyone think?

That power supply looks OK to me. That will be plenty for your system. I only have 300w powering 6 drives, 7 fans, and some lighting and I have never had power problems.

Thanks jrwap. PSU was the hardest decision for me this time around.. I plan on donig quite a bit of modding to the PC is why.

I looked in my current PC.. I had never even noticed what the PSU in that was.. and turns out its a 140 W PSu.. and I run my P3 on it with 2 hard drives, 2 CD drives, and a few fans.

Nutty to think what a 350W can handle now.

Then again.. I got a case/PSU deal .. so went for it.. andits comeing with a decent 500W PSU as a package.

Pretty cool.. tahnks to www.jab-tech.com

I just got a Premier case and psu from newegg. I was surprised at how nice it looked. It came with a 350 watt psu that I am running a XP2400 on. The cost was $40 plus shipping. Newegg has some nice cases and good prices.
