DVD Extras
First it was CD Extras..now DVD.
Seems like every DVD I buy has some feature on it that needs a DVD Drive for the Computer. If the RIAA/MPIA are so bent on stopping users from putting things on there Computer...why do they put them on the damn Disks in the first place. Whats your thoughts on this...............

Cool change to the avatar, Lion.
The MPIA doesn't have a clue. Either that or they have meetings to think up the stupidest things to say in press releases. Plus they have been sitting in their ivory tower for so many decades they don't know how to react to indirect competition. All these extras could be in anticipation of the next generation of tvs and dvds. 10 years from now there will be no difference between a tv and a computer (basically). This could and should have happened 10 years ago, but when you have an idiot like Bill Gates at the helm of a bad idea like WebTV, the integration of the tv into the network gets hammered for 20 years. However, the MPA has shown significant ignorance to technology. They're combatting piracy as if it's a bunch of guys with eye patches and parrots. Frankly, the extras in DVDs kind of bore me. I hate that so many DVDs are in a 2 or even 3 disk set now. The one thing the MPA caught onto quickly is bloatware. |
