Then why did you start a poll if you knew the result already? It sheds a strange light to me. Like you wanted to prove mac was bad or something because noone uses it.
Amiga Workbench was a great OS, guess only a very few people use it these days, but I prefer it over windows MENTXP2K9xCE.net.
Programming seems to be easier for windows because there are more programs for ?!?! what a xxxxxxxx It sounds to me like you (tamarisk) think porches driver slower because you don't see them as much as mercedes's or something... I don't see the relation in that.
Since when do a programmer have to deal with an instructionset? Welcome to 2003 where 5th generation languages are a fact (not that they are useful but still). Noone writes assembler these days, not while programming a PC, Mac or Sun. It is C, C++ Objective C, Java, Native Java and it compiles with GCC...
It is a fact dat Microsoft was better in it's marketing and business to get a PC into your life shipped with a version of Windows. And I will agree that from that point Windows does best, but that doesn't say anything about the quality of the product.
I would like to end this kind of rage with a friendly word saying 'Ok guys, I just wanted to point out that I think this poll doesn't make any sense...'
I don't care what you prefer, as long as we are allowed to use what we prefer, I'm fine.
